There is a Dancing Fountain in Lamongan Square

ARCHIPELAGO – Lamongan Square, East Java, adds to the long list of iconic squares in Indonesia. Yes, this is a garden area complete with a dancing fountain which is an icon of Lamongan.

After almost a year being closed for the renovation process, the long wait for the people of Lamongan to be able to watch and enjoy the Lamongan square finally materialized, after being reopened starting on Friday night (02/14/2019).

One of the people awaited is the beauty of the dancing fountain located on the south side of Lamongan Square.

In addition to dancing fountains, various new facilities were also added in the green open space (RTH) area. One of them is a reading garden or library whose collection of books is provided by the Lamongan Regional Library and Archives Service

“During the repair period of about 1 year, Lamongan Square was closed for renovations and now we can enjoy it together so that it can become a place of recreation and an attractive landscape for the people of Lamongan,” said Regent Lamongan, Fadeli.

The concept of structuring the location in the Lamongan square with its new facilities also prioritizes comfort, such as the addition of toilets and seats of a wider size.

The atmosphere will be even more excited when visitors enjoy it at night, because the solid match of garden lights will make the atmosphere more comfortable.

The square is also equipped with several gazebos, flower gardens and playgrounds for children, making it a great place to relax with family.

In addition there are also some facilities that are very popular with teenagers, such as three-dimensional paintings, pergolas and lamp tunnels that are very suitable to be used as a place for photographs. “There are a number of additional facilities, I hope people can enjoy with their families,” he said.

Meanwhile, Utari, one of the visitors from Putat Village, Turi Subdistrict who came with his son claimed to be happy and amazed by the new nuances of this Lamongan Square.

“I was curious, so coming here, it was good and suitable for refreshing with family,” he said.

Although there are many additional facilities, a number of old facilities, such as the Nomad type aircraft with the P. 086 N 2255 hull number are also still plastered amidst the square.

The beauty of the Lamongan town square is also more complete because toren (Dutch drinking water tower, red) is also enhanced with lights that spoil the residents who come to unwind.

It’s not enough to get there, the Ferris wheel or windmill is the progress of the continued development of Lamongan Square. Of course this will be the main attraction for the community, after the dancing fountain.(NUH/*)
